Kokedama, an intricately crafted Japanese Hanging Moss Ball, is a truly unique way of displaying your favourite plants and creating an indoor plant feature. Instead of a pot, a moss ball becomes the focal point. There is nothing better than playing with soil and plants for stress relief and this workshop offers inspiration and guidance to create your own unique kokedama.

We take you through the essential materials, where to find them and how to choose the best quality plants. We will also show you techniques to ensure your kokedama is sturdy, healthy and lives a long life once it’s back in your home. All eco friendly materials are supplied and you take home everything you create. We will also provide you with a spectacular grazing table of local food and wine to enjoy on the night.

“The class lived up to everything it said it would teach and more I came away feeling inspired Laura is so creative so many ideas and her willingness to share them and encourage others is amazing. I will definitely be coming back for more. Well done Laura and team. Sure lived up to the name!” Kate

“Beautiful workshop right on the banks of the Merri Creek. So relaxing and wonderful to meet a group of like-minded people with a love for plants! The cheese spread was out of this world—I couldn't have loved it more!” - Alice

“Such a fun and relaxed way to learn a new skill! Even though I'm an absolute beginner as a gardener I now have a gorgeous kokodama hanging proudly under a tree in the backyard. Looking forward to doing another workshop with PYHII.” - Barbara
