Vamos! Choose your own adventure in a surprising, flamboyand, heart-warming Latin Barrio! Interact with residents in their houses, the cantina or piñata studio while discovering food, traditions, music and values throughout Latino nations. Together we will engage in an emotional journey of cross-cultural communication, empathy and belonging. A unique adventure, connecting immersive theatre with cultural awareness.

La Fiesta del Barrio will enthral with vibrant Latin-inspired party and will give us all a better understanding and appreciation in the value of cultural differences.

La Fiesta del Barrio is part of the Critical Mass curated Melbourne Fringe Festival program, and is produced by Tea For Tiger. The venue, staged throughout as a Barrio (neighbourhood), will have a town plaza, tango dance floor, shops, food vendors (empanadas, Argentinian BBQ, alfajores...), a bar stocked with Latin liquors and intriguing installations to explore and interact with. Activities will include Spanish poets and musicians, tango classes and an emotional freedom booth along with many surprises.
