Lumineux is a show of new works by three artists working in very different mediums each exploring light, colour and form.
Myra Mitchell an award winning painter whose abstract Australian landscapes capture the colours, movement and emotion of this land she loves. Bright, free and full of energy, Myra’s works are lively interpretations of how this artist lives her life.
Salli Coppin is a Margaret River jeweller using raw gem stones and precious metal to create unique one-off sculptural artworks. Each newly designed piece showcases the raw beauty of Salli's chosen materials in stunning wearable pieces, capturing light and colour through the use of metals and gems. Salli's technique brings to the fore the play of light of her chosen materials enhancing the natural strengths of each.
Gerry Reilly is a prominent Western Australian glass artist based in Margaret River. Gerry’s works are held in many prestigious collections. An artist to the core, Gerry’s new works play with the relationship of glass and light in their multitude of possibilities through pattern, form and colour. Gerry’s new works are stunning, collectable pieces, greatly inspired by experimentation in recent architectural commissions and his much loved muse...the light and shapes of the Western Australian landscape.
Please join us for this wonderful exhibition and meet the artists and hear their inspirations and insights.
