Meeanjin Markets is the largest ever Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artisan market and cultural festival held right in Brisbane’s CBD. This two-day event is a great opportunity to buy authentic indigenous products direct from the artisan. The markets are a free event with an exciting program of cultural dance, music, artisan workshops and the delicious flavours of native Australian foods.
Featuring traditional and contemporary dance, performances by Mojo Juju, The Merindas, Shellie Morris, Joe Geia, Yirinda, Balairi, Kahl Wallis, Emily Wurramura, Dhapanbal Yunupiŋu and Brady Brown. Kids and families will be entertained on Saturday with Nana Magic and Murri Claus and there will be a special live broadcast on Friday morning of 989FM program Wild Black Women.
