Mother’s Milk is the queer art party here to birth us into the festive season.

Mother’s Milk is the lifeblood that connects and sustains us all. Here we'll commune to suckle at the teat of the collective mother of dance floors, performance art and deep human exchange. We will worship at the altar of that which gives us life!

The party will feature the finest of queer alternative performance art-makers, captivating live installations and eclectic DJs to ensure our hooves are hitting the dance floor all through the night.

Performance highlights include:
Strykermeyer: Strykermeyer is a performance artist of international repute. Having performed for over 40 years, Stryker has been instrumental in the Australian drag and performance art scene. Gaining notable recognition for his work, Stryker won a BAFTA for Make-Up & Hair for the major motion picture Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (1994), and was also a subject of the drag artist documentary Ladies Please! (1995). Whilst continuing to push boundaries and genres on stage, Stryker is also a celebrated visual artist and was most recently inducted into the 2018 WA Proud Awards Hall of Fame.

Ash Baroque: Avant theatre artist and Riot Poof, Ash Baroque is the creative director of powder keg performance collective VDLV. Baroque’s work is psychodramatic, with no act in the art. A dancing poet, Baroque explores the human condition, materialising mystical communication with the labour of creation. As a producer, Baroque has created numerous boutique events, including shows at Perth International Arts Festival, Fringe World and Bar Bitch Chew Art, a queer art party exclusively developed for the 2015 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival.

With sounds to project you into another dimension from fabulous sonic selectors including; Salut Barbu (The Monarchy), psychedelic pied piper Rex Monsoon and beat detective Lucky Pete. Plus more DJs and performers to be announced!

This feast for the senses is brought to you by an exciting first-time collaboration between Ash Baroque (VDLV), Salut Barbu (The Monarchy) and Claire Hysteria (Disco Abyss, Mel). You may remember them from legendary Perth parties Richard, Fandango, Le Club and Brief Encounters. With this trio of avant-gardeners at the helm, Mother’s Milk is sure to provide all your vital nutrients...
