See the world differently at the Noosa International Film Festival. Experience incredible Australian and international short films from more than 20 countries, new feature length films plus industry workshops, all presented over four days across Noosa and Eumundi venues.

NIFF 2018 kicks off with its Inside Cinema program of industry workshops, networking and panel discussions at Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th October. Ride into the dark heart of Australia with our first feature film screening at the festival—be mesmerised and engaged by Terra Nullius, an Australian political revenge fable in three acts with panel discussion by moderator Amanda Slack Smith, Artistic Director Brisbane International Film Festival in discussion with Academy Award-winning cinematographer and Festival Patron, John Seale and Australian film director, Heath Davis. Part political satire, ecohorror and road movie, this feature film samples and remixes some of the most iconic characters, moments and imagery in Australian cinema and will have you reeling. Then delve into the life and work of Academy Award-nominated film editor, Jill Bilcock in Dancing The Invisible. Jill will join us as a special guest for a Q&A afterwards.

NIFF’s opening night blue carpet event on Friday night officially kicks off the festival celebrations with the Queensland premiere screening of Heath Davis’ Book Week. The dark comedy feature film screens at BCC Cinemas Noosa and is your chance to mingle with NIFF’s special guests followed by a special Q&A with the director.

Official selection shorts will screen at multiple sessions across the weekend at The J Noosa, Eumundi School of Arts and Noosa’s Land & Sea Brewery. Our diverse themed sessions on Women & Film, Environment, Real Stories, Horror and Comedy are sure to entertain. Catch the winning films at the NIFF 2018 Short Film Awards Show on Saturday night at The J Noosa and celebrate with the filmmakers.

And don’t miss our feature documentary on Sunday afternoon in Eumundi – US production Living In the Future’s Past, is described as beautifully photographed tour de force of original thinking on who we are and the environmental challenges we face, presented by actor Jeff Bridges.

Come along and immerse yourself in screen stories—be challenged, be inspired, and laugh your head off. Tickets on sale now.
