Rhyley McGrath, Kevin Okabe

Rhyley McGrath is a talented young Bendigo-based musicians garnering praise and winning fans across Victoria.

Performing a range of styles from rock, blues, funk and jazz styles, covers and originals, his playing style has been described as similar to that of notable blues guitarists such as Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher and Robbern Ford, and he has shares the stage with such talents as Birdhouse, Harlem, Geoff Achison, John McNamara and the Old Buzzards. Performing solo acoustic sets as well as shows with his ever evolving band, Rhyley McGrath is an exceptional young talent, with a maturity and playing style beyond his years.

Kevin Okabe cut his teeth in the Canadian music scene with Vancouver based alt-rock band Pigeon Park, and has toured with and opened for the likes of The Offspring, Aerosmith, and Slash. Eager to taste the musical waters across the Pacific, Kevin now resides in Melbourne fine-tuning his burgeoning talents as a solo artist. Blending elements of blues, rock, and jazz together with hip hop style rhythms; Kevin has developed a unique sound blending old sounds and modern styles together.

Kevin and Rhyley will join up for a special Late Night Session at The Fig from 9pm. The Moldy Fig is a New Orleans restaurant bar located in the heart of the Brunswick East dining district focused on brining together delicious food, tasty drinks and great live music! Enjoy the taste of Louisiana with classic Southern American food available all night as the kitchen stays open till 11pm.
