Ben Drysdale’s brand of contemporary folk spans from soft-spoken heartfelt ballads, to uplifting upbeat tunes that explore the endless shades of darkness and light that permeate the human condition. He colours his folk lyrics with musical shades of reggae, blues, funk and soul tailoring the energy of a set to the venue: whether engaging a thoughtful listening crowd or filling a dance floor.

Drysdale is hitting the road in July with a mixture of duo and band shows to tour the new self titled EP from his funk, soul and blues band "East Row Rabble".

He has been playing around Canberra and the East coast of Australia since 2004 both solo, and in a number of bands including Smitten, Ben Drysdale and the Otherwise Occupied, Beth n Ben, and most recently East Row Rabble. Festival credits include Stonefest, Woodford Folk Festival, Corinbank Emersion Festival, Summer Rhythm Festival, Peats Ridge Festival, Enlighten Festival, Bondi Love Jam, and the Northern Beaches Music Festival.

Ben has released four studio EPs and a full length live album including Smitten’s self titled debut EP, and Boarding Pass, Economy Class, Scenic Roots, and Baggage Claim with Beth n Ben. He has played on bills with some of Australia's greatest including Paul Kelly and the Waifs, and international stars such as Chris Isaak.
