Get set for fun times and cool creations at Adelaide Botanic Garden in January, as our bumper School Holiday Program returns for 5–13 year olds.

Activities - including two stellar new ones—have been designed to promote fun, hands-on learning about plants, people and the environment. Parents are encouraged to book early—spots will sell out! Kids can:

- Explore the world of art and plants, capturing amazing botanic garden vistas through landscape painting.
- Learn the story of the humble potato and how they grow, before creating Potato People to take home and grow.
- Create cute garden critters out of curious botanic bits.
- Learn how Aboriginal people make fire using just what's around them in the Australian bush, as well as learn to make glue from plants.
- Listen to Aboriginal Dreaming stories and understand what they can teach us about life, as well as learning how to identify tracks and traces in the environment.

Prices range from free to $30, with running times between 1–1.5 hours. Some activities are tailored for specific age groups—check carefully whether your child is suited to each activity. All children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver at all times.
