Sime Nugent brings his band, The Capes to the Winnebago Lounge this October. Sime has toured nationally and internationally throughout Australia, Europe and America and released more than a dozen albums with a range of bands in his 20 year career. Sime’s work under his own name; with indie duo Sweet Jean and two time ARIA nominated band The Wilson Pickers has received both critical and popular acclaim. Sime has just finished performing Stardust – The songs of Willie Nelson at the Arts Centre with Linda Bull.

The Capes features Steve Hesketh, Shane Reilly, Zane Lind and Roger Bergodaz who’ve variously played with The Drones, You Am I, Man in Black, Mick Thomas band and Tex Perkins band. The Capes line up piano, hammond organ, pedal steel, baritone guitar, bass and drums along side Sime’s disarming voice, harmonica and agricultural guitar.
