Want to make some theatre in the school holidays? Students aged 15–17 can head to Summer School with State Theatre Company and learn from the experts.
Dan Aubin from Daring Humans will lead young people in Making Something from Nothing, a comprehensive workshop that will help students learn how to draw on their own experiences and surroundings to create theatre.
Participants will look at a variety of ways to create images, text, movement, engagement and story for live performances as individuals and groups. Students will also be given the opportunity to hear from State Theatre Company Sound Designer Andrew Howard, Head Electrician (Lighting) Sue Grey-Gardner, and a set designer from our professional production team.
This is an exciting opportunity for young people to receive practical experience in devising and creating theatre from recognised artists in the industry.
Book by Oct 26, 5pm.
