Australia's oldest (and favourite) newspaper is hitting the road!

Famous for their witty take on the zeitgeist of modern Australia, the duo behind The Betoota Advocate are bringing their trademark humour to the stage for the very first time with a special live show. The Betoota Advocate Roadshow will travel to 13 venues across Australia this November-December.

Join newspaper editors Clancy Overell and Errol Parker as they lift the veil on the operations of Australia's oldest newspaper and take you through the most iconic moments in the Advocate's storied history.

Listen to how the Betoota Advocate has been able to continue their upward trajectory as rival media companies fall, or merge with Channel Nine. It's sure to be a night of laughter, tears and irrational rage.

“This is the first of its kind, it’s the first time The Advocate has been invited to spearhead such a project. Since our transition into digital media in 2014, we’ve garnered this cult-like following around the country and we felt it time to head out on the road and meet the people who’ve helped shaped our humble outback newspaper into what it is today” - Clancy Overell

Fast becoming one of Australia’s most widely read news publications, The Betoota Advocate has won over disenchanted millennials and attracted attention internationally with its jocular headlines. Fan favourites include

‘Demolished Cheeseboard Suggests The Girls Are Having A Real Crack Tonight‘

‘Reversing Boat Trailer Results in Chorus of Woo Sounds From Nearby Dads‘

Whilst The Betoota Advocate has long thrived in the print, online, radio and podcast worlds, this will be the first time it is brought to life on stage.
