Perth Concert Hall and St George’s Cathedral Consort are thrilled to present a night of breath-taking repertoire with the world-renowned King’s Singers—recipients of two Grammy Awards, the Midem International Classical Award and recent inductees into the Gramophone Hall of Fame as well as setting the standard for the art of A Capella.

Joining this phenomenal group will be The St George’s Cathedral Consort—hailed for their "faultless intonation and impeccable unity" (The Australian), under the directorship of Limelight Magazine Artist of the Year nominee, Joseph Nolan.

Formed by six recently-graduated choral scholars from King’s College Cambridge in 1968, these gentlemen came together through their shared love of singing to form the King’s Singers. Soon enough they became world-renowned for their mesmerising performances. One of the keys to the group’s success has been the slow turnover of its members. Including the current six singers, there have only been 26 King’s Singers since 1968, which has allowed the techniques that guide every aspect of the group's music-making to be inherited and refined without getting lost through a rapid change of line-up. To this day, their vocal make-up has been two countertenors, a tenor, two baritones and a bass.

An alchemy of ancient and modern, serious and light-hearted, expected and unexpected, by some of the great contemporary choral composers of our day, alongside masters of the Renaissance and Romantic eras, promises an evening of unique and unforgettable musical brilliance.
