Packing an illustrious 20 years as one of Queensland’s finest arts organisations, ARIA nominated Topology have become a staple sound of their hometown in Brisbane. In their most recent endeavours Topology have teamed up with the Queensland State Library to create ‘Queensland at Home’ a time capsule of vintage film accompanied by a live original score performed by the band to paint an evocative portrait of life in Queensland dating back to the early 20th Century.

Set to tour Queensland at Home across 42 towns throughout 34 local government areas, the work features an original score by Topology's Robert Davidson inspired by the sights and sounds of times past and a compelling compilation of Queenslanders engaging in everyday activities.

In addition to the live performances, the tour will incorporate 45 workshops as part of the Top Up Music Education program, facilitating local students and community participants to compose their own live score to be featured at the performance alongside Queensland at Home.

The Queensland at Home tour will travel through regional Queensland from August to November 2018 in which over 4000 people are expected to engage and participate making this venture one of the largest tours for Topology to date and a unique cultural experience for all involved.

Performing in a range of iconic community venues such as vintage and modern cinemas, entertainment centres, outdoor venues and well-loved community halls, local communities are already planning special activities as part of the Queensland at Home tour including markets, media activities and exhibitions of the local footage and photographs.

Topology would like to invite you to help preserve Queensland’s history and be a part of Queensland at Home—in a call out for vintage home movies and photographs from the local residents of regional Queensland, if you are from any of the towns listed below and have a piece of your history to add to the time capsule of Queensland at Home please email
