The Punk Rock Hillbilly plays your favorite Punk Rock songs (Fat Wreck, Epitaph and Burning Heart etc.) in thee Bluegrass, Americana vibes!

Born (1976) and raised on the Central Coast of New South Wales Australia, I have managed to play all over this great country of ours, and abroad. I started playing guitar around the age of 16. My father is still an avid guitarist, and the reason i picked one up in the first place. Recent years has seen us share the stage together which has been one of the top 3 highlights of my musical career thus far.

I'll always have the passion for loud rock guitars in me, which was all i really did up until 2005ish when i answered my calling in what was my favorite record for years by then, Kasey Chambers “Barracades & Brickwalls”. (Playing on stage with Kasey is another of the top 3's) It didn't take long and my record collection went from Metallica, Weezer, Arch Enemy etc to Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Fred Eagle Smith, Larry Cordle etc. Enter the Mandolin love affair which has taken precedent over all instruments for me these days.

2014 I finally get a project out of my system i`ve wanted to do for a few years now. It is to be called “The Punk Rock Hillbilly”. It`s me doing all the punk rock songs i grew up loving and playing, (NOFX, Bad Religion, Millencollin) but done in a bluegrass/alt country manner. I`m really stoked on how its sounding and look forward to getting out there performing it. The shows we have done have been fantastic! Bring on more of the good times I say!
