- Sonderr (Syd/Per) (Shall Not Fade/ Axe On Wax)

Sonderr is a collaborative project between Kyle McLeavy and Ryan Macdonald. After a chance meeting, the two began to make music after finding a common love for drum machines and unique sounds.

Their debut, the All My Dreams EP breaks the seal for Axe on Wax’s grittier sub-label Axe Traxx, packed with a perfect mix of ominous, entrancing chord progressions, heartfelt melodic structures and harsh broken beats. Their second release the Goin Home EP is also the debut for another sub-label, this time kicking off Shall Not Fade's 'Lost Palms' imprint. This one sees the boys pumping out four dusty jams packed full of ambient textures, gritty drum sequences and scorching acid basslines.

It seems like the two are only just scratching the surface of what could be, despite already hitting #1 on the Juno charts and being spun by the likes of Ben Sims, Rick Wade and Actress. The future is looking very bright for Kyle and Ryan.

- Adam Stromstedt (Syd) (Lyssna Records)

Adam is the co-founder and co-curator of Swedish label Lyssna Records and is known for his strong affiliations with British ‘Banoffee Pies Records’ and Swedish ‘Junk Yard Connections’. Born in Stockholm and now residing in Sydney, Adam spent a number of years educating himself in Berlin before making Sydney his permanent residency.

An eclectic talent who’s selections credit his personality, and his interests in the broader range of hip-hop induced house and minimalist beats has pushed his career in many directions, a further tribute to the diversity in his own productions.
