Virgin Bloody Mary to appear at Melbourne Comedy Festival 2018. Virgin Bloody Mary is a critically-acclaimed award nominated clown show, featuring Nadia Collins as a mostly silent, wholly irreligious Virgin Mary.

The show, which is dialogue-free, offers a dark, quirky twist on a well-known story, featuring an ultimate anti-hero version of the Virgin Mary. Think…what if Mary found herself in the present day, fell in with the wrong crowd, had a history of substance abuse and a completely idiotic approach to life?

After receiving a mission from God to become pregnant with the baby Jesus, Mary chooses the wrong sperm and winds up accidentally birthing the devil incarnate. In the chaos that follows, she plunges with the audience down the rabbit hole as she rides the highs and lows of a supernatural pregnancy.

Perth-based Nadia Collins is an exciting, anything-can-happen comedian. After training at École Philippe Gauiler in France, she created the bold, critically acclaimed Virgin Bloody Mary, now in its seventh festival run. Besides being one half of the smash-hit Bad Egg Boys (5 stars - The West), Nadia has a slew of film and theatre credits to her name plus and a decade of experience in stand up and improv comedy across Australia.

- Nominated for Best Comedy Show @ Perth Fringe World 2017

“It is bold, light, experimental and always silly theatre by comedian Nadia Collins, co-creator of Fringe cult smash hit, Bad Egg Boys.” - The West Australian

“Collins is the queen of mime…Virgin Bloody Mary elicits more than enough belly laughs as Collins excels in physical comedy.” - The Australia Times

"If Nadia Collins were a drug she’d be laughing gas.” - Theatre Press
