Walk for Awareness is Australia’s Largest Mental Health Walk dedicated to transforming the way the world views, thinks and speaks about mental related illnesses. The Walk rallies the community together for an 8km walk around Brisbane city to break the silence, discuss openly and raise much needed funds for advocates on the front line of mental illness. The event is an initiative of the Mental Awareness Foundation and the unwavering crusade of founders Tudor and Wesley Vasile, whose goal is to bring mental health discussions from behind closed doors into everyday life.

Walk for Awareness is an 8km river loop around Brisbane to raise awareness for mental health issues and suicide prevention. Any level of fitness and all ages are encouraged to participate—the event is wheelchair and pet friendly! The energetic morning includes a sausage sizzle and drinks, live music, and a jumping castle for the kids.
