Arthritis & Osteoporosis NSW is a health charity providing support and health services for people suffering with arthritis and related conditions.

We offer Warm Water Classes at various locations, including at Canterbury Hospital. Warm Water Exercise is an excellent way for people with any form of arthritis to build strength, ease stiff joints and relax sore muscles. The buoyancy of the water supports the body, taking the weight off inflamed and painful joints. The warmth of the water helps tight joints to loosen up and relax, easing soreness and soothing any pain.

Unlike standard water-aerobic exercise classes, our program has been developed specifically for people affected by arthritis. All classes are lead by trained health professionals, with the minimum qualification being a Fitness Certificate IV covering hydrotherapy.

Classes are held during the NSW Department of Education school term, each program typically running for 9 or 10 weeks. Each class is 45 minutes long.

Current classes at Canterbury Hospital are run on Wednesdays at 1:30pm and also at 2:30pm. A new women's only class is starting in 2018, and will be held on Saturdays at 12:00pm.
