Wetland Restoration

Wetlands play a critical role in flood mitigation, water and carbon storage, and supporting an abundance of unique local plant and animal species. Conservation Volunteers Australia are building a sustainable strategy for the management of Knuckey and McMinns Lagoon and invite volunteers to be a part of this management with activities including weed removal, watering, tree trimming, track maintenance, tree planting, wildlife monitoring and surveys and much more.

We meet at the Conservation Volunteers Australia Darwin office and drive you out to the site at Knuckey or McMinns Lagoon. Online bookings are essential (see link above). Please email darwin@cva.org.au or call the office 0475 979 477 for further information.

Important: Please wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, enclosed shoes and a hat, plus bring a water bottle and some lunch.
