Whale Watching season is officially underway on the Gold Coast with Spirit of Gold Coast Whale Watching! The cooler temperatures on the Gold Coast signal the exciting seasonal pilgrimage of beautiful Humpback Whales as they make their way up the “Humpback Highway” and along the east coast of Australia.

Spirit of Gold Coast spokesperson Angela Del Bianco said her team is expecting a busy five months ahead with more than 30,000 of the gentle giants set to pass the Gold Coast as they swim to and from their northern breeding grounds.

Providing uninterrupted 360-degree views from its upper and lower decks, the Spirit of Gold Coast prides itself on offering an esteemed whale watching experience thanks to their exceptional crew which includes a marine biologist, marine ecologist and a host of knowledgeable deckhands and hostesses.

Not only can guests expect to see their fair share of whales in the wild on the cruise, they will also gain an ocean of invaluable information on the biology, ecology and conservation of the majestic marine mammals.

Cruises depart daily at 9:30am from Mariners Cove Marina, Main Beach. Spirit guarantees that if its guests don’t see a whale, they will receive a free ticket to return another day.
