2019 Orange Wine Festival

The 2019 Orange Wine Festival program has been launched and is brimming with a huge range events that showcase the Orange wine region at its best. Running from Friday, October 18th through to Sunday, October 27th events include behind-the-scenes access to wineries, meet-the-maker opportunities, fantastic culinary experiences paired with the region’s award-winning wines and wine education sessions across a 10-day a celebration of this unique cool-climate wine region - where altitude is the difference!

Highlights of the festival include the 2019 Orange Wine Show Tasting & Masterclass; The Vino Express, offered across two weekends; and the ever-popular Night Markets on Friday, October 25th! In 2019 the Orange Wine Festival is proudly supporting The McGrath Foundation with a dedicated Rosé themed 'Pink Up’ Wine In The Vines on the first Friday of the festival, and for the first time have added a second Wine In The Vines event on the second Friday of the festival!

All aboard the Vino Express! Jump on board The Vino Express for exclusive access to premium wine and food experiences during the 2019 Orange Wine Festival. These luxury 3-day curated 'slow travel' tour packages are aimed at immersing you in the Orange Wine Festival and providing an introduction to our amazing cool-climate wine region and local vignerons. Hosted by Silver Compass Tours in partnership with Orange Region Vignerons Association.

Wine in the Vines
Meet the maker! Explore the wines of Orange without need for a Plan B! We’ll be your designated driver as you are introduced to local vignerons and given an exclusive insight into how some of Orange’s best cool climate grapes go from vine to wine. Board the bus and enjoy a roving lunch with matching wines throughout the region on this all-inclusive day trip! Ticket includes lunch, wine tastings, transfers and a bottle of the region’s best to takeaway.

Orange Wine Show Tasting and Masterclass
Taste and judge all the wines from the Orange Wine Show, including the trophy and medal winning wines. In between tasting, graze from generous platters of delicious local produce. The Masterclass, hosted by a local winemaker introduces you to the colour, aroma, taste and regional characteristics of Orange wines and why the Orange Region is so special!

Spend the twilight hours of spring wandering leafy Robertson Park, perusing more than 50 food and wine stalls on 19 October. Meet local winemakers and chefs, dine at communal tables and enjoy live music under the stars, with a gold coin donation for entry.
