Indigenous dance sensation Djuki Mala have announced that their 2019 Adelaide Fringe season will be the final run of performances to feature their much loved, highly awarded, 5 star review must-see show that has sold out venues around the world since 2007. Djuki Mala have played 700+ live performances to over 500,00 people in 73 cities and towns, in 27 different countries across 11 years. This year's Adelaide Fringe season will be the 'last chance don't miss out' opportunity for Adelaide audiences to see the show that put Djuki Mala on the map.
Direct from Elcho Island, North East Arnhem Land, Djuki Mala's extraordinary humble journey started twelve years ago when a video clip of the group dancing an exuberant interpretation of 'Zorba the Greek', was uploaded to You Tube. The video was an overnight success that went viral and currently stands at over 2.8 million views. Djuki Mala's highly energised dancers present their re-interpretations of pop culture, dance and story-telling, juxtaposing traditional dances with their contemporary Yolngu culture.
This is a show that you do not want to miss! Booking fees will apply to the ticket prices shown here.
