Identical twin sisters Alanna and Alicia are excited to be returning to Smith’s Alternative and this time around they’ll be performing as a five piece outfit.

Alanna and Alicia have captivated audiences from the National Folk Festival to Port Fairy with their original folky jazz songs and quality quirky lyrics. They have a rich, intuitive vocal blend, with magical harmonies unique to sisters…think The Waifs, The Andrews Sisters. Known for their fine songwriting with lyrics that are equal parts heart and humour, they will sing songs and tell stories from their latest album, ‘Songs I’m Singing With Me,’ a tribute to acclaimed Australian Troubadour, John Beavis.
They will also take you on a journey through songs from their stunning original back catalogue, Twinlines, Two in a Book and Funny She’s So Much Like Me. Alanna and Alicia exude warmth, wit and fun on stage and will be performing with their fine band featuring Jen Hawley, guitar, Silas Palmer, piano and violin, and Sarah Busutill, violin and snare drum.

"Alanna & Alicia's stunningly beautiful voices blended harmonically together like a studio overdub as they weaved their way through a wonderfully varied selection of great songs, many of them original, accompanied by four highly accomplished musicians. Unquestionably one of the best concerts we’ve had here in Humph Hall since we began over nine years ago!" - Wayne Richmond, Humph Hall, Sydney, January, 2019

"In concert they are entertaining and lively characters with an unpredictable, unscripted natural humour inspired by close observations and wry story telling. They are brimming with talent, a free spirit and endearing charm." - Jamie McKew, Director Port Fairy Folk Festival
