All Saints Anglican Church is proud to be hosting its ninth annual Daffodil Show. Over the year’s the show has gained an enviable reputation with professional growers and the local community alike. The flowers are fabulous and entry is by donation. The weekend of 21 & 22 September will see All Saints Church and Hall bedecked in the glorious colours of daffodils. Come and learn about growing, breeding and showing daffodils, visit the church and our beautiful gardens.

Family entertainment abounds: Petting Zoo, face painting, bubble blowing, kids’ craft, plants, The Jesse Tree (All Saints Op Shop), cakestall, hot food and morning & afternoon tea with homemade fare and Devonshire Teas.

Join us for a hymn fest of “Songs of Praise. There will also be live music in the gardens: Jounce (celtic ensemble), the Hobart Old Time String Band, Sisongke Community Choir and more; and organ recitals in the church both days.

Lots to see, do and eat!

The Daffodil Show includes Community Classes for young and old ranging from a simple arrangement of garden flowers, to photography, original artwork and colouring-in. Budding artists of all ages are encouraged to either colour-in an original line drawing by Rod Barwick or create their own work.

Schedules are available from The Jesse Tree at All Saints Church, South Hobart and online. Prizes will be awarded for winning entries in all Community and Standard classes. Exhibitors are encouraged to use their imagination with the vase theme for this year’s show which is classy glassy.

So dust off your vases, riffle through your cupboards for that fabulous vase you’ve forgotten you have, pick some flowers and arrange them at the show. Above all, be prepared to enjoy yourselves!

Be a part of this wonderful community event in All Saints Quiet Garden, a calm oasis in the heart of South Hobart.
