American Express Openair Cinemas is coming back to St Kilda, just in time for summer season. The popular beach-front experience returns to South Beach reserve, next to St Kilda sea baths this November. Providing access to outdoor screenings as the summer months heat up, an exciting seasonal program of food and films has been revealed today.

Films:
This year’s program kicks off with a special preview screening of Knives Out on November 22nd (out in cinemas nationwide 28.11), a thrilling and modern whodunit starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Toni Collette and Jamie Lee Curtis to name a few.

The 2019–20 program features an exciting mix of recent box office hits such as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (25.11), Hustlers (27.11, 06.12), Joker (24.11, 29.11, 10.12), Rocketman (2.12) and Zombieland: Double Tap (28.11, 13.12). In addition, highly anticipated new releases including Doctor Sleep (12.12) and Charlie’s Angels (19.12) will light up the big screen later in the season.

Little and big kids alike will rejoice at screenings of family films The Lion King (23.11), Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (07.12) and Abominable (30.11). Fear not, festive films are certainly on the agenda as no seasonal cinema experience would be complete without Elf (14.12) and Love Actually (15.12) making an appearance.

American Express Openair Cinemas have always been proud supporters of indie cinema and will be screening The Farewell (09.12) the touching story of a Chinese family who refuses to tell their grandmother that she's dying, starring Crazy Rich Asians breakout star, Awkwafina. For lovers of the great outdoors and the ocean, Kathmandu will be presenting Maiden (5.12) following the first all-female crew to take part in the gruelling Whitbread Round the World Race.

Food:
Melbourne favourite, Ladro will once again delight moviegoers with their authentic Italian Cuisine including their delicious wood fired pizzas, calamari and arancini balls.

Drinks:
Fear not, the refreshments are taken care of, thanks to national partners Giesen Wines, 4Pines beers, PIMMS and Enjoy Water, Australian spring water in reusable aluminium cans.

It’s official, Wine Wednesdays are now a thing! Every Wednesday, guests can sample the full range of Giesen Wines (up to 8 different varieties) before settling in for the film.

Fun:
The festival atmosphere will be in full swing every weekend with live music and DJ performances before the latest and greatest feature films light up the big screen.
