In October 2016 Mario Millo took his band, and his classic Australian prog rock masterpiece, Four Moments, back on stage. It was the Sydney Blues and Roots Festival in Windsor, and forty years on, this extraordinary piece of music captivated another stunned audience. Two years later and a sold out show in Tokyo saw another audience fall under the spell of a band in prime form.

The rapturous joy that has greeted every appearance by the Mario Millo Band since that Windsor show in 2016 not only reminded Millo of his place in the upper echelon of Australian rock history, but energised and refreshed his muse. Another symphonic piece started forming in his imagination.

With shows booked for Paddington RSL in December and the Memo in St Kilda in February, and a band full of fire and ambition, a new classic will be mingling with the aural splendour of Four Moments, Openings and Rosanna.

As the guitarist who has provided the soundtrack to so many Australian memories over the past 45 years, Millo is a revered figure in Australian music. Any chance to see the Mario Millo Band on stage is a joy to be grasped and held close to the heart. Four Moments live is a very special experience.
