The Badloves are an Australian soul and RnB band formed by frontman Michael Spiby in late 1989. Famous for hits like 'Lost', 'Green Limousine', 'Caroline' and a cover of 'The Weight' with Jimmy Barnes, the band has released six albums, won two Australian Music Awards and three ARIA awards. They have worked alongside such major artists Baby Animals, Lenny Kravitz and Hall & Oates.
After various reformations and a recent five-year hiatus, The Badloves are back together and sound better than ever. Inspired by the past, The Badloves are a band that's very much focused on the future and there's no time like the present.
This show will feature an opening set from Bill Tolson & The Learners ; then a special set of Michael Spiby in acoustic mode, playing acoustic guitar along with James Ryan, and singing some favourite soul classics, as well as tracks from his ARIA-nominated solo album, Ho’s Kitchen. And finally, The Badloves in full flight for the final set.
