ANU + CYO Collaboration Concert

The Canberra Youth Orchestra, conducted by Max McBride, and the ANU School of Music will present a unique collaboration concert on the 21st of September. This concert will feature CYO Concerto Competition winner Nicholas Hilderson, as well as several compositions by staff and alumni of the ANU School of Music.

The Canberra Youth Orchestra will also be presenting a series of compositions written by several members of the ANU School of Music community, including Kim Cunio, Frank Millward, Chris Sainsbury, Alec Hunter and Chloe Sinclair. Each piece that they have composed is unique, demonstrating the incredible and varied musical talent of Canberran musicians. The ANU is fast becoming a go to place to study composition with nearly eighty tertiary students enrolled. This partnership will allow new music to flourish in Canberra.
