On the eve of their 5th Tour to Japan Arabesk are having a huge send-off at LazyBones Lounge*.

Arabesk is Bulgarian born violin virtuoso Veren Grigorov, young up and coming guitar hero Yannick Koffi, master of the global groove on bass Chris Frazier, and Michigan born drummer extraordinaire Calvin Welch.

Arabesk will lift your spirits with a touch of tango, reggae rhythms, jazz flavoured funky beats or even a traditional waltz!

Arabesk have been bringing their special brand of original intoxicating global grooves to audiences around Australia since 2003. In 2011 they won best instrumental track at The Australian Songwriters Awards and that year were invited to perform at Takatsuki Jazz Festival in Osaka, Japan for the first time. In 2016 they released their third album ‘Mr Fi’ and played at the 2016 Sumida Jazz Festival in Tokyo. Australian festival highlights include Blue Mountains Music Festival and Wangaratta Jazz, Clarence Jazz Festival Hobart, Palm Creek Folk Festival Townsville, Manly International Jazz Festival Sydney, Parramasala 2018 and Nambour Winter Jazz Fest 2019.

Arabesk ended 2017 by again taking 1st place at the ASA Awards for ‘Waltz Ala Bra’ and 4th place in the same competition for ‘Big Bam Boo’. Early 2018 they followed up as finalists in the global ISC songwriting competition - also for ‘Waltz Ala Bra’. Both songs are from the 2016 release ‘Mr Fi’. In 2018 they recorded their first live album ‘Live at LazyBones’ in Sydney and the highlight of the year was performing at the 20th Annual Takatsuki Jazz Festival in Japan - their third appearance at the festival. 2019 started with a busy touring schedule - hitting the road in January, March and July with East Coast runs from Narooma to Bundaberg, the boys have been out and about warming up for their 5th tour to Japan, 19-29 October 2019.

So come along, get your boarding passes, relax in the lounge and preview Arabesk Japan Tour 2019!
