"Are you listening Sydney?" is curated by award-winning blues singer/songwriter Liza Ohlback and keyboardist Sam McNally (Stylus, Tommy Emmanuel, Doug Williams) who share a passion for the art and also for their colleagues-in-arms.

Special guest speaker, John Graham, MLA, offering detailed information about what needs to change in the NSW Night Time Economy, after exhaustive studies on the matter. Also speaking will be Mr. John Wardle from APRA/AMCOSʼs Live Music Office. (See attached poster for artist line-up) “Are you listening Sydney?” Celebrating live, real music!

"Are you listening Sydney?" Elections donʼt typically interest musicians and creatives. The 2019 NSW State election is different. Any Sydney or NSW musician knows that legislation and regulations, brought by bureaucrats, have harmed the music landscape in the last five years, very definitely. Most notably, current government threats to wipe out music festivals as a lunatic way of dealing with drug related incidents at a minority of events.

"Are you listening, Sydney?" is not a political activist brand, but rather, an awareness event, seeking to awaken Sydney to some of its best working musicians, singers and performers.
