Bonjour Sydney!

In July 2019, the French are returning to Circular Quay and The Rocks and this year the party’s going to be even bigger and more Frenchy than ever, so, dig your beret out of the cupboard and get ready to join us for our 4-day French food, wine and art revolution, the likes of which Sydney has never seen before!

In case you’re not familiar with our event, Bastille Festival Sydney is a free entry, French cultural celebration of food, wine and art, held annually in Sydney’s Circular Quay and The Rocks.

French Food
Bastille Festival is renowned for its delicious, authentic French food and incredible French food fusion. More than 100 of the tastiest food stalls leave you to eat your way through breakfast, lunch and dinner over the 4-day event. There’s nothing more tantalising than watching fresh raclette being made right in front of you. Oh, and the crepes are always incredible. Melting cheeses, delicious patisseries and so much more.

French Wine
France’s most reputable wine regions will be represented all around the festival. Walk your way through Bordeaux, Burgundy, Provence, Languedoc, Rhone Valley, Alsace, Loire Valley and sip on a variety of more than 32 exquisite french boutique wines directly from France. Let’s not forget the familiar ‘pop’ of a champagne bottle, which is sure to be a very familiar sound as you wander about the event. You can also attend an amazing Wine and Cheese French Feast matching 8 sumptuous French Wines with 8 stinky, melty french cheeses. (ticketed event)

Art
The Festival produces over 100 free shows in 4 days, with Dj, Bands, Circus acts, Cabaret, Magicians, Fire shows, Theatre, and so on…all free for all. Make sure to check our program !
Another much-loved element returning to the festival is the premiere outdoor cinema experience, Le Cinema, held on Tallawoladah Lawn. Imagine snuggling up in a warm blanket on a fresh winter’s night, seated in a soft deck chair, a warm glass of mulled wine in hand. Enjoy a mix of classic French comedies, family friendly films and works by some of the great French directors. (ticketed event)
Want more? The Festival will be revealing some amazing new experiences—follow our Facebook page and Instagram to join the revolution!

Festival Director, Vincent Hernandez said, “I’m very excited to share my country’s diverse culture with the people of Sydney. 2019 marks the 7th year we’ve celebrated in Circular Quay, and I’m proud to announce our expansion of the event to include Bastille Festival at the Overseas Passager Terminal.”
