Big Bethanie Bake Off

The hot plates will be fired up and the culinary skills of Perth's young and old will be tested at the sixth annual Big Bethanie Bake Off, taking place on Have-a-Go Day, a LiveLighter event.

Bethanie, Western Australia’s most recognised not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider continues to work on closing the intergenerational gap with this popular annual event which asks both juniors and seniors to submit their favourite family recipe.

Four senior finalists will compete against four junior finalists in a live bake-off as they showcase their culinary skills, whilst at the same time sharing magical memories of intergenerational family cooking.
With dishes like Polish Potato Pancakes, Tapas Style Spanish Prawns with Chorizo Sausages and Nonna Rosa’s Lasagna Dish, the expert panel of judges will have a tough decision at the live cook off event.

Marquee visitors can enjoy complimentary barista coffee and icy poles to keep cool, exciting spot prizes every 20 minutes and a relaxing lounge area to catch your breath. The Hon. Mick Murray MLA – Minister for Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering; Sport and Recreation will drop by to wish all the participants well and present the overall winner.
