Bushmills Irish Whiskey is introducing their Black Bush Craftsman Dion Horstman to in-the-know Sydney-siders with an intimate soiree at the newly opened Employee’s Only, Sydney. Sip curated cocktails built to surprise and delight your tastebuds, while you listen to our craftsman’s tale of challenging the traditional with whiskey masterclass and tasting notes from whiskey expert Andy Ratcliff.

New Zealand born, Dion Horstmans is a Bondi based sculptor who turned a flickering curiosity of large-scale works into a blazing career. As a true challenge chaser, he freezes time with static structures and tangible shadows, creating multi-dimensional work. His Islander heritage and curiosity of ethnography dashes his work with tribal patterns and motifs. Strong lines and geometric repetition echo the decorative tessellations of tribal art, while its’ strength and longevity are embodied by Horstmans trademark use of steel.
