Combining the legendary soul of the Stax and Motown era with the burning heat and power of the Chicago and Memphis blues, Blues Arcadia deliver an uninhibited, old fashioned soul stomp revival. Their raucous live shows are establishing them as Australia's most electrifying blues/soul outfits with standout performances at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Gympie Muster, Thredbo Blues Festival and Blues On Broadbeach.

Debuting in 2016 with an eclectic self-titled EP that reached #2 in the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Charts, they picked up a 2017 Australian Blues Music Award for Best New Talent and an Australian Roots Music Award nomination. Remedy, their 2017 single was one of Australian Community Radio's top ten most played tracks on release and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.

With collaborators and partners-in-crime Jeremy Klysz (bass), Parmis Rose (keys) and Casper Hall (drums) the songwriting partnership between Chris Harvey (guitar) and Alan Boyle (vocals) continues to go from strength to strength. Their new full length album Carnival Of Fools pushes the boundaries of their unique dirty-soul sound even further, capturing all the passion and excitement of their live shows.

Blues Arcadia are proud and excited to be performing at The Vanguard, Newtown on Friday 29 March as part of their Carnival Of Fools national tour along with special guest, the amazing Simon Kinny-Lewis.

"This is what a 21st century blues band should sound like - a howling celebration of what it is to make music now" - Mark Doherty, Nothin' But The Blues, 4ZZZ 102.1FM

"Blues Arcadia gave us a passionate performance and great music, and hammered home the argument that live bands are simply the best entertainment there is. Next time they're playing, make sure you see them." - SCENESTR Magazine

"Damn good songwriting across a range of styles, allied to some quality musicianship from all concerned." - Iain Cameron, Blues Matters Magazine

Special guest Simon Kinny-Lewis has been making his mark globally as one of the top players in the new class of contemporary blues guitarists. His playing and singing has been recognised internationally by some of the best in the business such as Steve Lukather, (Guitarist -Toto) T.J Helmerich (Producer - Steve Vai), Chris Cain (US Blues Master) along with Robert Marcello, Martin Miller, Christian Howes to name a few. Captivating audiences all over the world with his unique blues guitar style and soulful voice, Simon performs songs from his chart-topping “Catfish” (#1 Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts), plus soulful renditions of tunes by Hendrix, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, Robben Ford, Chris Cain etc.

"Simon will be performing in duo mode with the fabulous Ian Hollister on harmonica!" - Lemon Squeezin’ Daddies, Ray Beadle

"Great man. Your voice has a little Bonamassa in it…which is cool. Love the tune too. Killer solo!" - Steve Lukather, guitarist for Toto
