Bohemian Rhapsodies – Joe Chindamo and Zoë Black

Celebrated and loved renegades in the Australian classical chamber music scene, Joe and Zoë incorporate both the rigour of classical music and the excitement and urbanity of jazz in their edgy, transformative live shows. They have recorded three ARIA-nominated albums and received wide acclaim for their unique, genre-spanning styles. They are regular highlights of Australian music festivals, and have performed internationally, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Spinacorona Festival in Naples.  

The duo will perform a program of rhapsodic works, including Joe's own compositions, that inhabit a unique and refreshing place in contemporary music offerings. 

Tempo Rubato is a not-for-profit classical music performance space and bar housing a magnificent 102-key Stuart & Sons concert grand piano in an understated Brunswick warehouse. The venue donates all profits to Melbourne charity Piano Project, who provide piano lessons to children who have recently immigrated to Australia. Its solar-powered, low-waste bar is open before and after every performance, serving tap artisan wines from TAP. wines, a selection of local craft beers from the likes of Two Birds and 3 Ravens Brewery and snacks from neighbouring SmallAxe Kitchen.
