Books Kinokuniya Guinness World Record Attempt

Books Kinokuniya at The Galeries in Sydney will attempt to become the Guinness Record holder for the world’s largest display of origami dinosaurs!

All dinosaurs will be made within their Craft Month, from 1st to 30th of June 2019. The origami dinosaurs will be displayed in the in-store gallery, which will house an origami folding table where people can create and contribute. Every person who contributes to this record attempt will be credited and have their name listed on the Books Kinokuniya website! Submissions of origami dinosaurs will close at 6pm on Sunday June 30th.

The hanging display of origami dinosaurs will be completed in-store by the 2nd of July, with final display and tally count for the record attempt on the 3rd of July—with a target to beat 2,098 origami dinosaurs!

If Books Kinokuniya beat the current Guinness World Record for the largest display of origami dinosaurs, Books Kinokuniya along with their partners Tuttle Publishing and New South Books will collectively donate $1,000 to their chosen charity, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
