The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (CEGORR) returns bigger than ever in 2019 as the world’s cycling elite journey to Victoria on Australia Day weekend.
The CEGORR is a four-day, international event where spectators can get up close to the world’s best teams and elite riders competing in the year’s first one-day UCI WorldTour Elite Men’s race and UCI sanctioned Elite Women’s race. You too can take part, with the Vegemite Family Ride along the picturesque Geelong Waterfront something the whole family will enjoy.
The Swisse People’s Ride, with 35km, 65km and 115km options, caters to cyclists of all levels. A chance to ride on the same roads as the pros, it’s highlighted by Challambra—a climb for those doing the 115km ride to conquer.
The action-packed four-day event kicks off on Thursday 24 January and spans through to an epic conclusion with the UCI WorldTour race on Sunday 27 January.
- Thursday 24 January – Towards Zero Race Melbourne, Albert Park
- Friday 25 January – Vegemite Family Ride, Geelong Waterfront and Team Presentations
- Saturday 26 January – Swisse People’s Ride, Deakin University Elite Women’s Race
- Sunday 27 January – UCI World Tour Elite Men’s Race
Fans are encouraged to don their best costumes whilst cheering on cycling’s elite across the weekend!
