Cafe Culture – Canyon

Canyon's line-up singer, songwriter and guitarist Peter Chapman, singer, co-song writer & percussionist Louise Dempsey, Bruce Packard on vocals, bass and mandolin and Josh Bennett on vocals and multiple guitars.

The concert features many great songs from the 'Laurel Canyon, Westcoast' tradition of the 60's and 70's such as America, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, The Band, Little Feat, Seals & Crofts, Emmy Lou Harris, and Joni Mitchell. Canyon choose to perform a lot of their harmony singing repertoire standing around one single condenser microphone to achieve a closer, acoustic sound.

As a special treat support act, local duo Hilary and Colin from Wawazat will also play starting at 6:30pm. Wawazat enjoy playing a wide range of music, meandering through Willie Nelson in his Tex-Mex era, Pearl Jam, Ruby Hunter, Glenn Miller Band, Jill Barber in her jazz persona...and a little country ACDC!
