Join us for our inaugural ‘Carols & Brass’ presentation of Sir David Willcocks’ arrangements of beloved Christmas carols and beautifully arranged brass selections. Interspersed with chorales, solos and ensemble pieces from Bach, K. Lee Scott, Rutter, and a number of carols, this evening is the ideal introduction to the Christmas season. The evening will conclude in the same way as King’s College Cambridge “Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” with the traditional choral setting of "In Dulci Jubilo." Join in the triumphant Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah which is bound to be an uplifting climax of the evening.
A gathered City Tabernacle Choir combined with a profound narrative depicting the Christmas story will join with members of the Brisbane Excelsior Brass Band on Sunday 8 December at 6:30pm. Free parking is available at 51 Astor Terrace. Alternatively, the Brisbane City Council Wickham Terrace Carpark is diagonally opposite the Church and is available for $5 if entering after 4:30pm and exiting before midnight. All are welcome!
