House Conspiracy, as a part of Brisbane and Elsewhere Art UnTriennial (BEAUT) present: Club Conspiracy—Omegachild, Avaxa, Hades of Spades, Raxfen and DJ Brettski

BEAUT and House Conspiracy acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Meanjin and their continued sovereignty over the land on which this event is held.

Brisbane and Elsewhere Art UnTriennial 2019's one and only 'up-later' event , Club Conspiracy, will play host to a promising lineup of five local musicians, headlined by West End-based Omegachild, whose synaesthetic 'one-man machine' live show critically explores human connectivity and our relationships with nature and technology.

Club Conspiracy will run as an extension of House Conspiracy's group exhibition ‘Glossopteris: Black Beyond Coal', which from 6-8pm will see Indian artists Raju Sutar, Vaishali Oak, and Thaj Backer exhibiting alongside various local performers, including pioneering scientist and 'Thus Spoke the Plant' author Monica Gagliano. At 8:15pm, a symbolic 'Boundary Street Conspiracy Crossing' walk between the two venues, House (42 Mollison St) to Club (10 Browning St), will take place.

Sutar's series, 'Black Beyond Coal', developed during his recent residency with House Conspiracy, has acted as a catalyst toward the night's Stop Adani cause. The lead title, 'Glossopteris', takes its name from a genus of plant that greatly contributed to the vast Permian coal deposits of Australia and India, and whose fossils served as a primary clue toward the Gondwanaland theory, which states the land masses of Australia and India share a connected past.

Through the images and sounds within these events, the spirit of Glossopteris will be called forth to rise from the coal ash; and through each of our moving bodies it shall be given form once more, rendered as a living, breathing, celebratory symbol of convergence and common-ground between cultures and disciplines. Glossopteris and Club Conspiracy are set to become an exercise in interpersonal agency; a border-crossing convergence of art and activism that critically resists the menace that threatens an irreplaceable part of this land and her inhabitants.

25% of proceeds will be donated to the Wangan and Jagalingou People's fund to Stop Adani.
