Concerns About the Beauty of Nature – Exhibition

An exhibition by Carme Dapena, distinguished artist from Barcelona who has just completed residency in Cairns. Official launch 6pm, 9 Oct at 6pm. Continues to 22 Oct.

The exhibition expresses her continuing concerns about the relations between humanity and nature and how we can protect it in the face of climate change. She says, "Pure Nature is what moves me to create. The motivation for my work here has been my contemplation and admiration for the magnificent North Queensland environment, in particular its butterflies. My next project will include the precious birds and other insects, the lush plant life and superb corals."
