Midsumma Festival

An all-day series of events that explore ways the consent conversation engages with queer and artistic communities while welcoming intersectionality. Workshops, discussions and performances offer space to broaden the scope of what consent - and the issues surrounding it - means to us, connecting safely with one another as we learn and share. With special guests and panel topics to be announced, attendees will have the opportunity to mix yoga, circus and life drawing workshops with panels and Q&As. Between sessions the incredible Melba Spiegeltent will be a hub for down time to chat and chill out. This event is a chance for people passionate and curious about this subject to connect and broaden the scope of how we change the way consent is considered in community. To close the event, a cabaret spectacular will be held to celebrate a one-of-a-kind event and fundraise for a grassroots organisation doing the work in our communities. This event humbly acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands and waters on which we respectfully meet. Trigger warnings apply, and respect expected. Some sessions will be 18+. With many thanks to our supporters and our Programming Committee.
