CPAC Live

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre (CPAC) has announced CPAC Live—the first of an on-going series of free live music events. Introduced by CPAC to tackle the lack of local live music opportunities, CPAC Live will shine a spotlight on the hottest up-and-coming artists from the Western Sydney region, in the industrial grandeur of the Turbine Hall.

Headlining the event are Freesouls, crafting contemporary Australian hip-hop that proudly embraces its roots in Sydney’s south west. Drawing from a diverse tapestry of hip hop heavyweights including Wu Tang Clan, Kendrick Lamar and Flatbush Zombies, Freesouls have won a loyal legion of fans across Sydney with their single Kush Koma.

Supporting them will be: Chris Onano, whose catchy-yet-thoughtful style has seen him open for Australian dance giants Mashd N Kutcher; and Leeroy Perez, delivering multilingual raps gliding effortlessly between languages.

Doors will open at 5pm for BeersNBurgers: contemporary takes on classic burgers with hyperlocal fresh produce by Bellbird Dining & Bar, and a selection of craft beers Stockade Brew Co.
