If you are a passionate toon buff or even a basic beginner who would like to explore some cartoon creativity, then this workshop is set to take you on a little toon-filled journey of exploration and experimentation—from retro cartoon beginnings to inventive and contemporary toon-tastic creations! A devoted cartoon fan, Jo began her artistic escapades as a Cartoon Illustrator fresh out of Art School. Within this workshop she brings together a variety of cartoon approaches for you to learn about and partake in to give you the opportunity to see how cartoons can play a part in many types of creative artwork. We will look at design, development and construction of Traditional Cartoon Character Concepts, Pop Art Culture, Object Cartoonism, and Contemporary Toon-Morph.

Drawing applications as well as acrylic painting will be employed in this class giving you an all-round understanding of the many approaches to cartoon-inspired art.
