Dads Raising Teenage Girls

For teenage girls, a father’s support and love are extremely important. Your relationship with your daughter as she moves into her teenage years can be challenging but your role is important. You still have a big part to play in guiding her path to adulthood.

Research shows that being a caring dad, stepdad or other male role model is a strong protective factor for girls and correlates with improved school results, career success, self-esteem and staying away from alcohol and drug use. This session will show you ways to stay involved and connected with your daughter as she and you navigate this challenging time.

This workshop will discuss:
- building a positive relationship with your teenage daughter
- issues teenage girls face today
- how to cope with the changes in your teenage daughter
- what teenage daughters need from their dads
- ways you can help her make better choices
