The Sikh community of Sydney, along with Sikh Youth Australia, will stand united with other faiths to celebrate unity and humanity on the joyous occasion of the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev .
Join us for a divine music festival in honour of the legacy of Guru Nanak—who practised a philosophy of radical progressiveness and humanism—by joining in the free festivities alongside members of all the major religions in Sydney.
Guru Nanak believed in the oneness of humanity—equality of caste, creed, colour, gender; oneness with Almighty—living the virtues of God (naam japna); earning an honest living (kirt karni); and sharing with others less fortunate (vannd chakkna).
Funds will be raised during the Festival in support of Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets, and the Can Too Foundation. This event is proudly supported by the NSW Government, and many Sikh and multi-faith organisations.
