Earthdance – Human

A meditation and movement practice inspired by the Australian landscape. An embodied journey of deep feeling and connection to the Earth and your true nature, Human nature. This is more than a dance...it is a ceremony to feel the Earth, to dance the Earth and to give gratitude to the Earth.

This journey begins with a live soundscape and meditation to connect us to body and Earth...a stillness practice to feel. From feeling and connection, we find our rhythm, our natural movement. The dance is guided by a setlist of songs that inspire you into free movement...your dance!

We share this journey as a tribe, a collective, beginning and ending in circle, in connection to each other. Our musician for this night of ceremony will be Catterina Tilby, with big hearted, deep feeling sounds of voice and guitar.

About Earthdance

Earthdance is a healing experience and embodiment practice. This journey is based on meditation, from stillness our natural movement arises. Sound, facilitation and movement works to gently guide us back to our natural state and rekindle our connection to the Earth beneath our feet.

Earthdance is a ceremony, we open and close in circle, with the opportunity (voluntary) to share, acknowledge and be witnessed. We create a healing space that is naturally sacred and fun.

I acknowledge the land in which we dance, the ancestors of this land, the traditional custodians, and the land in which this dance was birthed. As a meditation and movement practice there is no need for dance experience. All humans welcome here.

What to bring:
Water and warmth

Arrive at 7pm. We begin shortly after 7pm. CERES is a big place, allow plenty of time to find the venue if you have not been to the Learning Centre before. Give yourself time to settle in.

About your Facilitator:

Karla Riddell
Karla is a healer committed to creating sacred spaces for people to self-realise and journey within. With a decade of training and initiations in traditional healing and Shamanic practice, she holds space with a deep appreciation for land and culture. Deeply integrated with a background in paramedicine, Karla has a lived experience of what it is to humbly serve humanity. She is also a spoken word artist and writer, naturally infusing inspiration and deep enquiry as she facilitates, speaking intuitively to what arises in the moment.
