Easter Fun for The Kids

The Cannery Rosebery is holding a special Easter market day with creative fun for kids of all ages. Children can get ready for the upcoming Easter holidays with an egg colouring activity and card making workshop, or be extra hands-on with a fun construction activity. From kindy kids to pre-teens, there’s something for every child.

For budding artists, The Space gallery is holding a series of Easter inspired workshops, where children aged 5 to 12 years old can unleash their inner Picasso. Creative kids can get into the spirit of Easter and with just a gold coin donation, enjoy an egg decorating activity or get a head start on creating Easter cards to share with family and friends. The donations will to go to South Eastern Community Connect (SECC).

Later in the day, there will also be an ‘Easter Bunny Colouring’ demonstration led by BushyBush artist Philip Aspden. Children can watch in wonder as Phillip brings the Easter bunny to life in this exciting art demonstration. Participants will have the opportunity to do their own colouring in and submit for the chance to win prizes ranging from $100 worth of art supplies to a $50 Officeworks voucher. Three winners will be chosen and announced on social media on Tuesday 23rd April. Book your spot now!

For kids that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, there will also be a very special ‘Junior Tradies’ activity on the day. Junior Tradies construct exciting and engaging activities for children with their fabulous range of building toys and accessories. The construction crew can run wild building their own towns, tunnels and buildings. The Junior Tradies activity is free and will be held on the ground floor of the precinct between 10am and 3pm.

While the kids enjoy these exciting activities, parents can peruse the eclectic mix of market stalls or sit back and relax at one of The Cannery’s cafes and restaurants, including some of the best quality names in Sydney; Stanton & Co, Nash Big Brother Burgers, Welcome Dose Specialty Coffee, Grain Organic Bakery, 5th Earl Rosebery, Zeus Street Greek and Banh Xeo Bar.

- 10am to 11am: Easter Egg Colouring
- 12pm to 1pm: Easter Card Drawing
- 2pm to 3.30pm: Easter Bunny Colouring Demonstration and Contest.
