In the lead up to Easter, the inaugural charity event "Eggless Easter Brunch" will turn The Loft into a cruelty-free venue.

Run and organised by Aline Dürr of Frau Haus Design who also organised the 'Nup the Cup Lunch' in 2018 which sold out weeks in advance, the brunch will be featuring a cruelty-free, plant-based menu, a raffle with fantastic prizes and raising funds for three Australian safe havens for ex-battery hens and rabbits: A Poultry Place, NSW Hen Rescue and Porsche's Rescue.

The menu has been curated by Australian Venue Co.'s Executive Chef Daniel Corbett who has also overseen Untied's Bottomless Vegan Brunch and The Oxford Tavern's Vegan BBQ. Guests will be treated to a vegan menu with a free drink on arrival and a complimentary table gift by Gingerbread Folk. $15 from every ticket sold will be donated to the chosen rescues alongside any raffle money raised on the day.

The event will also feature a speaker from one of the animal rescues, a selection of pop-up stands for last minute Easter gifts, an 'awareness corner' with information about the egg and dairy industry and a 'meet the animals' corner with information on the animals in care as well as adoptable animals.

Organiser Aline Dürr: "This is an inclusive pre-Easter event for vegans and non-vegans alike and a fantastic compassionate alternative for those that do not eat animal products such as milk chocolate or chicken eggs on Easter but still enjoy having a fun day out with friends and family. It is the perfect occasion to get behind a great cause, bring a non-vegan friend and help raise money for some amazing animal sanctuaries and rescues to support them with their hard work."

The event will be at the Solander Dining & Bar.
